my Path to coaching
My journey has been a cascade of challenges and setbacks which I now see were opportunities; opportunities that led me to precisely where I am meant to be.
I moved out on my own as a senior in high school and soon after stumbled into the insurance industry, which became a place of endless growth. Throughout my 22-year insurance career, I often found myself saying ‘I don’t know what I want to do when I grow up’, and I meant it. While I enjoyed my work in the industry, I knew that because of my challenges in life, there was something more, something deeper I was meant to do.
The ‘challenge’ that brought me here.
As my career progressed, I naturally gravitated towards mentoring others, which later led to leadership opportunities. Aiming to be the best leader I could be, I began my own coaching journey which also helped to expand my commitment to personal development. About two years later, a larger leadership role was presented as my next step. As conversations progressed, I felt my energy and life draining. The increasing business operations responsibilities were already moving me away from what I cherished—supporting my team in a way I felt proud. It became clear to me that supporting others couldn’t be a part of what I do, it needed to be all of what I do. My focus completely shifted to transitioning my skills and experience into building my practice.
I am precisely where I am meant to be, and so are you.
I describe myself as a compassionate coach who will ‘get’ it, and who will ‘get’ you. I’ve had incredible highs and lows in life, and it was the lows that provided profound growth and grounding humility. My experiences enable me to deeply understand others, and I use that sensibility to help you create more meaningful and productive relationships in life and in business. As a person deeply impacted by my own relationship dynamics, I understand the negative effects of enduring ongoing tension personally and professionally. If you’re feeling the weight of a strained relationship, know that positive change is possible. I’ve navigated more than my share of heartbreak, I’ve navigated divorce and beyond, I’ve made bold moves in business, and I’ve faced the struggles of complex family bonds. My experiences uniquely position me to partner with you as you traverse similar terrain.
Your challenges hold the potential for growth, paving the way for greater fulfillment in your life and career. Don’t avoid challenges. Embrace them and expand.
